"Behemoth" is a solo and 2-player co-op tactical game where players embark on hunts to vanquish colossal monsters known as Behemoths. Slayers must strategize with a diverse arsenal of weapons and carefully predict the probabilities of the Behemoth's actions to survive. Dive into battles across dynamic landscapes, mastering the art of combat and becoming the ultimate Behemoth Slayer.

Early Prototype
I set out to create a game where the actions of the enemy were predictable, yet still variable and tense. I wanted players to really feel like they were hunting a dangerous unpredictable beast. 
To achieve this I decided to combine a player action selection system with an enemy action wheel. The wheel allowed players to plan and predict with a somewhat clear idea of what the Monster might do, while still providing tense decisions every round as the players decide where to assign their precious stamina. 
These two basic systems have undergone many phases of development and playtesting to make sure the core mechanics of the game are just right.
